Scientists from US universities and national laboratories have participated in the design and construction of the Large Hadron Collider and collaborate with colleagues at CERN on the LHC accelerator. More than 1,700 scientists, students and technicians from US institutions collaborate on the LHC experiments. US groups contribute to the construction and operation of the complex detectors and computing systems, and will play key roles in the scientific discoveries to come. These fact sheets describe the US contributions to and participation in the Large Hadron Collider project. PDF versions are available for download; for other versions contact Katie Yurkewicz.
